BRANDING & UI CONSISTENCY

Working with clients and corporations has allowed me the opportunity to define creative consistency & branding within an organization. This process dovetails UX practices by understanding the problem, collaborating with stakeholders and creating solutions to fit their needs. After spending years working on creative campaigns, I have come to understand the importance of UX beyond just the user interacting with a product. Consistent branding and marketing campaigns work in concert with the product experience to create cohesion and delight. 

DESIGN SYSTEMS

I have also helped create several design systems at various organizations in order to decrease development time, reduce or eliminate redundant code and streamline the UX to Dev handoff. Optimizing the creative workflow across multiple departments has helped with faster prototyping, testing and higher quality deliverables. Currently (at Learning.com), I have rolled out a process for all designers and UX staff to leverage Sketch, Craft, Timeline, InVision and Design System Manager to sync up prototypes and assets. Previously the number of applications, people and steps involved in the wireframing/design/prototyping/front-end development process was very time-intensive and sacrificed 'adding delight' within the UI due to time constraints. By improving our workflow and using a unified set of tools, we are able to work faster and hand-off code snippets with animations and other elements directly to the development team.
